Job Overview
As a Video Editing Intern, you will be an integral part of our creative team, responsible for assisting in the production of high-quality video content. Key Responsibilities
1. Video Editing
- Edit raw footage to create engaging and compelling video content.
- Assemble and arrange video segments to tell a cohesive story.
- Implement creative and technical elements to enhance video quality.
2. Software Proficiency
- Utilize video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to perform editing tasks.
- Familiarize yourself with industry-standard tools and stay updated on the latest trends in video editing.
3. Collaboration
- Work closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with other team members, including videographers, scriptwriters, and graphic designers.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure that the final edited video meets quality standards and aligns with the company’s brand guidelines.
- Review and provide feedback on edits to improve the overall quality of video content.
5. Organization and File Management
- Maintain an organized file structure for video assets and project files.
- Keep track of project timelines and deadlines.
6. Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and new software features.
- Proactively seek opportunities for skill development and improvement.
7. Communication
- Effectively communicate with team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the creative process.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Film Production, Digital Media, Communication).
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Basic understanding of video production processes.
- Strong attention to detail and creative flair.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Portfolio or examples of previous video editing work (if available).
Duration and Compensation
This is a 6 month internship position with the possibility of extension. Compensation may include a stipend, academic credit, or other benefits.
